## Overview

Products represent what your team is selling. Each prospecting motion requires a product to be associated with it, giving the AI context about what to position in outreach messaging.

## Where products are used

| Feature                 | How products apply                                                                                            |
| ----------------------- | ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| **Prospecting motions** | Each motion is tied to a product, which the AI references when generating outreach tasks |
| **Task generation** | Product context helps the AI tailor email drafts, LinkedIn messages, and talking points to the right offering |

## How to create a product

1. Navigate to **Settings** and open the **Products** section.
2. Click **Add Product**.
3. Fill in:
   * **Name** (required) — The product name as your team refers to it (e.g., "Revenue Intelligence Platform", "Enterprise Analytics Suite").
   * **Description** (optional but recommended) — What the product does, who it is for, and key value propositions. The AI reads this when generating outreach content.
4. Click **Save**.

## Writing effective product descriptions

The description field shapes how the AI positions your product in generated tasks. Include:

* **What it does** — "An AI-powered platform that extracts the revenue blueprint from CRM and call data."
* **Who it is for** — "Built for B2B sales teams with 10+ AEs using Salesforce and Gong."
* **Key differentiators** — "Unlike generic AI sales tools, recommendations are grounded in patterns discovered from the customer's own data."

A blank description gives the AI nothing to work with beyond the product name. The more context you provide, the more relevant the generated outreach content.

## How to edit or delete a product

* **Edit**: Click the edit icon on a product row. Modify any field and click **Save**.
* **Delete**: Click the delete icon. A confirmation dialog appears before deletion.

## Constraints

* Product name is required.
* Each prospecting motion must have a product selected. If you delete a product that is assigned to a motion, update the motion to select a different product.

## FAQ

<AccordionGroup>
  <Accordion title={"How many products should I create?"}>
    One per distinct offering your team sells. If you sell a single platform, one product is sufficient. If you have multiple product lines with different positioning (e.g., an analytics product and an automation product), create one for each.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title={"Can I use the same product across multiple motions?"}>
    Yes. A product can be assigned to any number of motions.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title={"Does the product description appear in outreach messages?"}>
    Not directly. The AI uses the description as context when drafting emails and messages. The description influences tone and positioning but is not copied verbatim into task content.
