Overview

Stakeholder Discovery automatically identifies and maps key contacts at your target accounts based on your configured personas. Discovered contacts appear in each company’s People tab with email addresses, LinkedIn profiles, and employment status.

How it works

When stakeholder discovery runs for a company:
  1. The system evaluates your persona definitions (department, seniority, title keywords).
  2. For each persona, it searches for matching contacts at the company.
  3. Discovered contacts are enriched with email addresses and LinkedIn profiles.
  4. Results appear in the company’s People tab (see People).

Configure stakeholder mapping

Stakeholder mapping is configured from the Personas modal on the Atlas page.
  1. Navigate to Atlas and open the Personas card.
  2. Select the Stakeholder Mapping tab at the top of the modal.
  3. Click Add View to select which sales views to run stakeholder discovery across.
  4. The system discovers contacts for all personas across all companies in the enabled views.

Stakeholder mapping table

Each enabled view displays a row with the following columns:
ColumnDescription
ViewThe sales view name.
CompaniesTotal number of companies in the view.
With StakeholdersNumber of companies that have at least one discovered stakeholder.
StakeholdersTotal discovered stakeholders across all companies in the view.
With EmailNumber of discovered stakeholders that have an email address.

Run Now

Each view row has a Run Now button that triggers stakeholder discovery on demand for all companies in that view. A progress indicator shows the number of companies processed out of the total. Use this after adding a new view or after updating persona definitions.

Automatic refresh

Enabled views are automatically refreshed every 7 days. If you update a persona definition, discovery runs at the next overnight cycle for all enabled views.

Removing a view

Click the trash icon on a view row to remove it from stakeholder mapping. Removing a view disables automatic discovery for companies in that view. Existing discovered stakeholders are not deleted.

View size limit

Views with more than 15,000 accounts are not supported for stakeholder mapping. These views appear as disabled in the Add View dropdown and show a “Blocked” indicator if already added.

Test discovery for a single persona

When editing a persona, the right panel of the edit modal shows a Test Stakeholder Discovery section. Use this to validate a persona definition against a single company before enabling it across views.
  1. Open a persona for editing from the Personas tab.
  2. In the right panel, enter a Company Domain (e.g., acme.com).
  3. Click Run.
  4. Discovered stakeholders appear below with name, title, and LinkedIn profile link.
You must save any pending persona changes before running a test. The Run button is disabled while the persona has unsaved edits.

Test discovery from a company page

To discover or refresh contacts at a specific company:
  1. Navigate to the company’s detail page.
  2. Open the People tab.
  3. Click the Re-generate button.
  4. Select which persona to discover contacts for.
  5. New contacts appear as they are discovered and enriched.
A progress indicator shows discovery status.

Best practices

  • Start narrow, then expand. Test discovery on a single company using the persona edit panel. Review the results to verify your personas produce the right contacts before enabling views.
  • Check email coverage. If many discovered contacts show “Enriching” or “No email” status, your personas may be targeting roles that are harder to find email addresses for.
  • Revisit after persona changes. When you edit personas, test on a few companies to verify the changes produce better results before the next automatic refresh processes your full pipeline.

Constraints

  • Stakeholder discovery depends on persona quality. If no personas are configured, no stakeholders are discovered.
  • Discovery results depend on available public data. Some contacts may not be found if they have limited online presence.
  • Views with more than 15,000 accounts cannot be used for stakeholder mapping.
  • Discovered stakeholders are preserved — re-running discovery adds new contacts without removing existing ones (unless they are flagged as having left).

FAQ

Enabled views are refreshed every 7 days. If you update a persona, discovery runs at the next overnight cycle. You can also trigger discovery manually using the Run Now button on any enabled view.

Stakeholders are managed by the system based on persona matches. To stop discovering certain types of contacts, adjust your persona definitions (narrow the department, seniority, or add exclude keywords).
The persona edit panel tests a single persona against a single company domain — use it to validate persona definitions. The People tab re-generates all personas for a specific company. Use the People tab for a full stakeholder view of one account.
